Seodaemun Prison History Hall is always open to donation of cultural assets.
-
Seodaemun Prison History Hall is doing its best to preserve materials related to the independence movement, the pro-democracy movement, and studies and exhibits them for people's right to know. For this, Seodaemun Prison History Hall is waiting for donation of cultural assets from collectors of cultural assets at home and abroad. The donated cultural assets can be preserved permanently in the best conditions, and those donated cultural assets are open to public in permanent exhibitions and special ones of the History Hall.
Likewise, donation of cultural assets is meaningful by itself, as it can help protect the assets from theft, loss, damage, etc. that can happen when they are managed by individuals. Donating the cultural assets and exhibiting them make the assets more valuable.
Seodaemun Prison History Hall treasures each relic of cultural assets being donated..
-
Seodaemun Prison History Hall is making various efforts to commemorate the noble spirits of those who have donated cultural assets. The hall hosts special exhibitions of the donated cultural assets for their donors and promotes cultural donation to the public by trying to designate them as important cultural properties according to their values.
